What is a Progressive Web App?

AgriOps is a Progressive Web App (PWA) — a website that can be installed directly from your browser onto your phone's home screen or desktop, just like a native app. There's no app store involved. Once installed it launches full-screen, loads instantly, and feels like a dedicated app.

Internet connection required

AgriOps requires an internet connection to work. The service worker installed with the PWA caches the app shell so it loads quickly on repeat visits, but live features — AI tools (Scout, Clover), field data, inventory — all need an active connection to function. Clover and Scout will not respond without internet access.

iPhone & iPad (Safari)

iOS 16.4+ recommended

Open agriops.co.uk in Safari (not Chrome or Firefox — only Safari supports PWA install on iOS).

Tap the Share button () in the Safari toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

Scroll down the share sheet and tap "Add to Home Screen".

Give it a name (or leave as AgriOps) and tap Add in the top right.

AgriOps will appear on your home screen. Tap it to launch full-screen.

Tap the three-dot menu () in the top-right corner of Chrome.

Tap "Add to Home screen" from the menu.

Tap Add on the confirmation prompt. The app icon will appear on your home screen.

You may also see a banner at the bottom of Chrome offering to install — tap Install there instead if it appears.

Open agriops.co.uk in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

Look for the install icon ( ) in the right side of the address bar. Click it.

Click "Install" in the popup that appears.

AgriOps will open in its own window and a shortcut will be added to your desktop / start menu.

If you don't see the install icon, go to Menu → Cast, save, and share → Install page as app (Chrome) or Menu → Apps → Install this site as an app (Edge).

Frequently asked questions

Does the app work offline?

The app shell (pages, layouts, icons) is cached so it loads instantly on repeat visits even with a slow connection. However, all real-time features — Scout, Clover, field data sync, inventory — require an active internet connection.

Is there an iOS App Store or Google Play version?

No. AgriOps is a web app only. Installing via the browser as described above gives you the same full-screen, fast-loading experience without any app store. You will not need to update manually — the app updates itself automatically in the background.

Why does Safari say my browser is not supported?

PWA install on iPhone and iPad is only supported in Safari. If you are using Chrome, Firefox, or another browser on iOS, switch to Safari and try again.

Will I get push notifications?

Push notifications are not currently enabled. The PWA install gives you a fast, app-like experience — notification support may be added in a future update.

How do I uninstall it?

On iOS: press and hold the AgriOps icon on your home screen and select "Remove App". On Android: long-press the icon and drag to Uninstall. On desktop: right-click the app in your taskbar or open Chrome/Edge, go to Settings → Apps and remove AgriOps.
