What size air compressor do I need for a farm workshop?

Should I buy an oil-free or oil-lubricated compressor?

Oil-free compressors are lighter and require less maintenance (no oil changes), but they run hotter, wear faster under heavy use, and are typically noisier. Oil-free is fine for light, occasional use such as tyre inflation or nailers. For regular impact wrench, grinding or any continuous tools, choose oil-lubricated.

Can I run a large compressor on single phase power?

Many farm workshops have a 32A single-phase feed in the workshop which is the practical limit for most users without 3-phase.
